Infrastructure Testing

Individually designed, functional testing of data center infrastructure.
24/7 Data Center operations require stable and reliable power (AC) and cooling systems, with sufficient capacity to perform under both normal and demanding operating conditions.
Regular testing and maintenance are essential to identify issues early and prevent failures, power loss or operational disruption.

We conduct a range of Data Center infrastructure tests, including:

01

Full-load testing

Testing the entire Data Center infrastructure at 100% load for 7 days

02

• Overload testing

Testing the entire data center infrastructure under 110% load or higher
03

Testing selected equipment and systems

Load testing of selected systems and equipment, including generators, UPS systems and STS units

04

Thermographic testing

Thermographic testing of electrical systems

05

HVAC and liquid cooling systems test

Load testing of HVAC and liquid cooling systems in different configurations

06

Load testing during facility expansion

Operational load testing of UPS battery strings and backup generators during Data Center expansion, before deployment of the target IT equipment

Early fault detection and failure prevention

Regular testing and maintenance are essential to identify issues early and prevent failures, power loss or operational disruption. Most errors become visible once the server room load exceeds 80% of its designed capacity.

Verifying installations under real load

Load bank testing is a key part of the process. It allows us to verify the quality of installation and confirm reliable system performance, both under failure conditions and during normal operation.

Our support can range from equipment rental and connecting it to the technical infrastructure, to the complete preparation and execution of testing, including power quality measurements and thermographic inspections, followed by a detailed final report.

We conduct testing both in new-build and live Data Centers, maintaining operational continuity and working within agreed maintenance windows.

What do we verify during testing?

Correct design and installation of the Data Center power and cooling infrastructure, compliance with operational requirements
System interaction and performance under full load and above nominal capacity
Correct installation and operation of individual system components
Selectivity and coordination of system protection and shutdowns
Performance and effectiveness of Data Center cooling systems
The facility’s readiness for commercial use and leasing

Questions worth asking before go-live

Is the facility built correctly, meets the required standards and operational expectations?

Are all systems performing correctly, without limiting the intended capacity of the facility?

Am I confident that all installed equipment will operate together as specified by the manufacturers?

Can the facility safely reach 100% of its designed capacity without failure?

Can additional IT load be implemented beyond 50%, 60%, 70% or 80% of the safe operating capacity without the risk of uncontrolled shutdowns?

Could an increased power demand in a single rack or row affect other systems?

Does the infrastructure have a single point of failure?

Can the cooling system maintain the required environmental conditions under the expected load?

Could electromagnetic fields generated at 100% load interfere with low-voltage or telecommunications systems?
